Habitat: Typically found on gravelly stream banks, gravel bars, seepy areas in glades, and on low, rocky ledges along some of the major waterways of the Ouachita Mountains.

Flowering Date: late April - May
Fruiting Date: June - September

Causes for Concern: This species is restricted to stream channels and other wet, open habitat in the Ouachita Mountains but is not uncommon where it is found and is captured by a number of protected sites.

Global Range: The Ouachita Mountains of western
Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
