Habitat: Moist slopes of creek banks, roadside ditches, and tidal freshwater marshes.

Fruiting Date: April - June
Causes for Concern: Godfrey's sandwort is rare, regional endemic and appears to have been extirpated throughout much of its former range. It is known in Arkansas from a single collection near Warren Prairie Natural Area and has not been relocated in recent years.
Global Range: Formerly ranged over the coastal plain in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida as well as in Virginia, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Current distribution unknown; appears to have been extirpated in all but Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
